Physical Education

Physical Education is a way of educating through physical activities which are selected and carried on with regard to values in human growth, development and behavior. Because it is a phase of the total education program, Physical Education aims for the same general goal that gives purpose to all other learning experiences in the school’s well rounded development of students as responsible citizens of our society.

The understanding of any branch of knowledge depends upon clear-cut concepts or generalizations based upon experience. It would stand to reason that most health concepts of today are derived from those of yesterday. Our present concepts are owing partly to our cultural pattern and partly to the degree of specific scientific medical information we possess. The key to good health practices is largely a matter of better health knowledge and the motivation to put this information to use.
